ARLINGTON, VA
– The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) today launched an online survey seeking input on truck parking issues from truck drivers who operate in the Midwest states.  Truck driver responses will help the 10 state DOTs**, who compose the Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials (MAASTO) coalition, to best determine how to coordinate real-time truck parking information.

The 10 Midwest states are developing a regional system to inform truck drivers of truck parking availability on most of the major corridors in the Midwest.

Truck drivers operating in the Midwest are encouraged to complete the brief confidential online truck parking survey by Wednesday, August 10, 2016 available online here.

ATRI is the trucking industry’s 501c3 not-for-profit research organization. It is engaged in critical research relating to freight transportation’s essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.
