ATRI is providing critical input related to trucking industry operations within the Houston-Galveston region to the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) as part of their freight study. Through this effort, ATRI has surveyed fleets that operate in the region, finding that congestion is a primary concern. Additionally, this research has quantified transportation infrastructure deficiencies along freight-critical corridors using ATRI’s freight performance measurement (FPM) database. This analysis has provided the study sponsor with a better understanding of when and where freight mobility is impeded by congestion and other factors.
