ATRI has developed a proprietary database of trucking-related statistics to facilitate state-level public education and outreach efforts. The 50 state trucking associations use this data to illustrate the trucking industry’s role in their respective states’ economies. This data set, based on both public sector data and industry approved metrics, is updated on an ongoing basis. Examples of state-level data elements include: trucking industry employment and wages; federal and state taxes paid by the industry; total tonnage moved by truck and vehicle miles traveled.
